Research experiences enrich the undergraduate experience and prepare students for graduate and medical school.  At the University of Iowa, students can receive course credit for working in the lab. To enter our lab, students must have a GPA of at least 3.2. Although most of our trainees major in psychology, neuroscience, or biology, such a major is not required. Also, all students must be able to attend our weekly lab meetings on Thursdays at 5:00-6:30 pm during the school year.

If you are interested, please fill out this application form and email it to Dr. Sokoloff.

Prospective graduate students are encouraged to send an email to Dr. Blumberg to learn more about our research and training opportunities. You can apply through the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences or the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Neuroscience. These two programs have different requirements, so please consider them carefully before applying.

Prospective postdocs should contact Dr. Blumberg directly to discuss research and training opportunities.
